California Healthy Kids Survey 2023-2024

We're excited to share the results from 2023-2024 California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS), which includes input from students, staff, and parents, as well as insights from our climate report. This survey is a valuable tool that helps us understand how our school community is feeling and identify areas where we can improve together. Here’s an overview of what we found:

1. Student Results: Click Here for the Results
This year’s survey highlighted some key trends in student well-being, engagement, and safety. Overall, a large percentage of students reported feeling safe at school and having a trusted adult they can talk to. However, there were some areas where we need to focus more attention, such as supporting students in managing stress and building a stronger sense of belonging among all grade levels. We are committed to addressing these concerns and providing a more supportive environment for every student.

2. Staff Feedback: Click Here for the Results
Our staff's responses shed light on their experiences and the school’s overall work environment. Many staff members reported feeling appreciated by their peers and connected to the school’s mission. However, the survey also highlighted areas where we can enhance communication and collaboration, ensuring that every voice is heard. We will use these insights to continue building a positive, inclusive culture for all our staff members.

The feedback from parents is crucial to our efforts to improve as a school. The survey results show that many parents are satisfied with the quality of education and the support their children receive. However, we heard concerns about communication between school and home, as well as the desire for more opportunities for parent involvement in school activities. We appreciate this feedback and are committed to strengthening our partnership with parents.

The climate report offers a comprehensive view of our school’s atmosphere. It reflects both the successes we should celebrate and the challenges we must address. One of the positive aspects was a general feeling of safety and respect across our campus. At the same time, it highlighted the need for additional social-emotional learning initiatives to further support our students' well-being. Our focus will be on fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone in our school community.
